Written 2026-11-03 by Play Day. Bangkok hotels with a riverside family room that has its own playhouse and slide, and suites themed on Thai animals and the sea.

Bangkok has tons for kids: [Safari World](https://ourplayday.com/places/safari-world-bangkok-bangkok), where you spot lions and giraffes from the bus, and a [history museum](https://ourplayday.com/places/museum-of-siam-bangkok) with a room full of traditional Thai toys. Some of its hotels have built suites just for families, themed on Thai animals or the sea, and one has a playhouse with a slide in a room over the river.

For a pool a small kid can stand up in, see [Bangkok hotels with pools that make sense for young kids](https://ourplayday.com/guides/thailand/bangkok/family-hotels-with-childrens-pools).

Sathorn Pier for the river boats sits next to Saphan Taksin Skytrain station, and the express boat runs up the river to the Grand Palace, with a short ferry across to Wat Arun. Asiatique, a market on the riverbank, has a giant Ferris wheel.
