The best family hotels in Paris
Written November 2026
Paris is a city of gardens. The Tuileries has little boats to push around the basins, a carousel and trampolines, and the Palais-Royal has hundreds of striped columns to run in and out of while Parisians sit and read. A few hotels here give the kids a bedroom of their own, bunk beds and all.
The Louvre, the Tuileries and the Palais-Royal
This is the middle of Paris, with the Louvre, two big gardens and the Seine all a walk from the door. The Tuileries runs west from the Louvre, with pony rides and a playground with a rope bridge strung through the trees. North of the Louvre, the Palais-Royal garden is much quieter, ringed by arcades of small shops.
Hôtel Regina Louvre
Tuileries
The Tuileries is right across the street from the Regina, and the Louvre is a few minutes' walk. Its Family Suite puts the kids in their own bedroom with bunk beds, next to the parents' room and a living room. The Family Room is two adjoining bedrooms instead, a queen in one and two twins in the other, with a bathroom each.
The adjoining rooms are well insulated, with very little street noise, and room service runs around the clock. Breakfast is a buffet of hot and cold dishes with very good croissants, and Île de la Cité is within walking distance.

Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal
Palais-Royal
Place de Valois, the pedestrian square out front, is a few steps from the Palais-Royal garden. The Junior Suites are made for two adults and two young kids, with a sofa that opens into a bed, and a Suite can connect to a Superior room for a bigger family.
The Eiffel Tower Suite is on two floors joined by a spiral staircase, with a sofa bed in the living room and a terrace facing the tower. Café 52 does pancakes and French toast at breakfast, and croque-monsieur and pasta Bolognese later on. The Louvre is under five minutes away on foot, and a playground for ages 2 to 6 in the Jardin Nelson-Mandela is about 550 meters east.

Trocadéro, across from the Eiffel Tower
Trocadéro faces the Eiffel Tower from the other side of the Seine, and the Warsaw Fountains in its gardens line up with the tower. The gardens have a carousel and shady paths, the Aquarium de Paris is down in them with more than 10,000 fish, and the Musée de la Marine up in the Palais de Chaillot is a good one for families. The view is at its most popular at night, when the tower is lit up, and from a hotel here it's right outside your door.
Canopy by Hilton Paris Eiffel Tower
Trocadéro
Canopy is on avenue d'Eylau, half a block from Place du Trocadéro, and you can see the Eiffel Tower from the street outside (the terrace rooms see it from inside). The junior suite is one big open room with a couch that pulls out into a queen for a kid. The toilet has a room of its own by the door, apart from the bathroom with the soaking tub.
Pancakes and French toast aren't on the breakfast buffet, but you can order them off the menu. Playdate, with classes for kids up to five, is about 900 meters away, and up on the roof the bar looks straight at the tower while it sparkles on the hour.

The Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe
The Champs-Élysées runs down from the Arc de Triomphe to gardens with playgrounds at the bottom, and on the first Sunday of the month it's closed to cars. Kids under 18 go up the Arc de Triomphe free, for the view from the terrace on top, and the Petit Palais is free for everyone, with workshops for kids. The avenues around it are lined with boutiques and classic cafés, and the Jardin d'Acclimatation, a children's amusement park in the Bois de Boulogne, is about a 10-minute taxi ride away.
The Peninsula Paris
Avenue Kléber
A few minutes' walk from the Arc de Triomphe, the Peninsula is on avenue Kléber, steps from the Kléber metro. Superior Suites have a separate living room and bedroom, and extra bedrooms connect to the bigger suites to turn them into apartments with several bedrooms. The Grand Premier Rooms have a small balcony.
The Peninsula Academy runs family classes, like a lesson with the hotel's pastry chef. Breakfast in the Lobby runs from continental to American and Chinese dishes, and the rooftop terrace, open in season, looks out at the Eiffel Tower light show.

Fouquet's Paris
Champs-Élysées
A one-bedroom suite at Fouquet's has two bathrooms and a huge living room, plenty of space for a family to spread out, and rooms look over the courtyard garden, the Champs-Élysées, avenue George V or out to the Eiffel Tower.
It's right on the Champs-Élysées, with the metro at the door, and Parc Monceau's playground, with rope climbs, little slides and swings, is about a kilometer north.
