Where to stay on Naxos with kids
Written October 2026

Naxos feels like a real place where people live. There's a marble gate to Apollo's temple at the harbor, a castle old town, and potatoes and cheese the island is proud of.
The west coast is one long chain of soft-sand beaches where the water stays shallow for a long way, and that's what makes the island so good with a toddler. Most places here are family-run apartment hotels with a pool and a kitchen, and a surprising number have a separate kids' pool and a playground. Naxos Town is a bus or a short drive from all of them.
Agios Georgios, by the town
Walk to the Chora's restaurants and the Portara, and the beach is shallow enough to wade for ages.
Naxos Resort
Agios Georgios beach
A large pool and a kids' pool, right at the south end of Agios Georgios beach with the town a walk along the sand. Breakfast is included, and we'd pick it for a first Naxos trip.
