The best family hotels in Zakynthos

Zakynthos has the Navagio shipwreck beach on the postcards, and for a family it is mostly long sand and shallow water. Tsilivi, north of the town, is the family resort strip: the most hotels on the island, a long sandy beach, kids' pools and dinner on foot. Kalamaki, south of the airport, is quieter and sits on the turtle beach, where the sand is protected and the water is calm. The west and south coasts are cliffs, villas and a car.
Nearly every hotel here has a pool and most have a kids' one. Between them they sleep a family as a connecting pair, a real second bedroom, or four beds in one.
