Where to stay in Venice with kids
Written October 2026

Everything in Venice arrives by water or on foot, and a hotel with no bridges between the vaporetto and the door is the easy one with a stroller. The island hotels have a pool and a shuttle boat, so you can leave the city at lunch and swim.
Connecting rooms in the old city
Carnival Palace
Cannaregio
On the Cannaregio canal, a flat ten-minute walk from the station with no bridges to speak of, which is the best arrival in Venice with luggage and kids. The neighborhood is where Venetians still live, so the restaurants are calmer than around San Marco.
