The best family hotels on Mauritius's northwest coast
Written October 2026

Mauritius is turquoise lagoons and a Creole kitchen that mixes Indian, Chinese, French and African cooking. Every one of these Beachcomber resorts has a free kids club for ages three to eleven, and a family apartment or suite where the kids get a door of their own.
Trou aux Biches
Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort and Spa
Royal Road, Triolet
We'd start here for the beach, a long stretch of sand on Trou aux Biches with a lagoon you can swim in. The family suite gives the kids their own bedroom and bathroom, and the resort's crescent of rooms wraps around a pool in the middle.
Teenagers get a club of their own for 12 to 17, the kids club has its own pool and restaurant, and a bigger family can take the three-bedroom villa with a private pool.

Pointe aux Piments

Victoria Beachcomber Resort and Spa
West coast, south of Trou aux Biches
Victoria's family apartments are the biggest of these resorts' and face the sea, and the swim-up rooms open straight onto an enormous main pool.
Pointe aux Piments is a quieter stretch of the coast, and the family apartments are on the resort's family side, away from the adults-only wing.

Grand Baie

Mauricia Beachcomber Resort and Spa
Royal Road, Grand Baie
Mauricia is at the edge of Grand Baie, so restaurants, shops and boat trips are right outside the gate whenever you want a break from the resort.
Family apartments have their own little village and a pool only they use, and the kids club is right by the beach. Pereybère Beach is a short drive north.
