The best family resorts in Cabo San Lucas
Written October 2026

Cabo is boats in the marina, water taxis to Lover's Beach and sunsets over the Pacific. On Medano Beach the water is calm enough for kids to wade in and walk out to a sandbar, and one resort there has a pirate ship anchored in its pool.
On Medano you get a pool and the sea. Out on the Corridor, the resorts put their money into pools (and they're very good pools).
Medano Beach, where you can swim
From Medano you can walk along the sand to dinner, the marina and the water taxis for Lover's Beach.
Villa del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa
Medano Beach
A gated resort at the east end of Medano, with suites up to penthouses and free kayaks and paddleboards to borrow. Villa del Arco shares the grounds next door.

Villa del Arco Beach Resort and Spa
Medano Beach
A full-size pirate ship is anchored in the pool, and it doubles as the bar. Small kids get the ship and you get the bar (everybody wins). The kids' club is a two-minute walk away at the Palmar, and El Patron does dinner on the sand.

Pueblo Bonito Rosé Resort and Spa
Medano Beach
In the middle of Medano, around a big freeform pool with a shallow end. The marina and the beach restaurants are a walk down the sand, and four restaurants on site cover the nights you'd rather stay put. The kids' club is at the Blanco next door.

Hotel Riu Santa Fe
Medano Beach, east end
Riu's big all-inclusive at the east end of Medano has a water park and a kids' pool with slides. RIU Land, the kids' club, has one group for 4 to 7 and another for 8 to 12, so older kids aren't stuck doing crafts with the small ones. The beach out front is swimmable most days.

Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas
Medano Beach, east end
Guests get free entry to Splash Water World next door. This all-inclusive on Medano is dressier than the Santa Fe and just as easygoing about kids. Riu keeps its adults-only hotel separate, so this one is for families.
