Where to stay in Mexico City with kids
Written October 2026

Mexico City is as much fun for parents as it is for kids, and these hotels work for both.
Which neighborhood
Polanco and the Chapultepec end of Reforma put you next to the park. The zoo and the Anthropology Museum are under a kilometer from the JW Marriott and the Hyatt, and Chapultepec Castle is about a kilometer from the towers on Reforma. Most of the kids' programs are at the big hotels here.
In Condesa, Parque México has a play area and a pond with ducks, and Parque España has another playground and a children's library. Roma has a play area in Plaza Río de Janeiro. The hotels in both are smaller, some with terraces or kitchens.
The Centro and the Alameda are for seeing the old city on foot: the Zócalo, the Templo Mayor and Bellas Artes are within about a kilometer of each other, and the hotels go from an old building on the square to a big one facing the park.
