The best family hotels in Gothenburg
Written October 2026

Gothenburg takes kids for granted: Liseberg's own hotel, the Grand Curiosa, has a pony carousel and a slide in the lobby.
Liseberg and Universeum sit together on the south edge of the center, and two hotels are at the gate. The rest of the city is small and flat, with trams everywhere, so a hotel in Haga, Linné or along the harbor is ten minutes from the park anyway. The hostels here have private family rooms, a kitchen and somewhere to play.
