The best family hotels in Dubai
Written November 2026

Dubai has an indoor ski slope where you can meet penguins, an aquarium with a tunnel in the middle of a mall, and water parks all over the city. The beach resorts go just as big: some let guests into the water park next door, some built one of their own, and one even has a candy-themed spa for kids.
Jumeirah
Jumeirah gets called the Malibu of the Middle East: low-rise villas behind the beach, and a coastal path along Jumeirah Beach Road from La Mer up to Kite Beach. The Burj Al Arab is on this stretch, and so is Souk Madinat Jumeirah, which people go to for dinner as much as for the setting. The sand is right outside the hotels here, with Downtown a taxi ride away.
Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Jumeirah
Jumeirah Beach Hotel is shaped like a wave, and every room looks out over the Gulf. Hotel guests get unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark next door, and the kids' club takes ages 4 to 12.
The Ocean Family Deluxe sleeps two adults and two kids on a king and two fold-out beds. The Two Bedroom Ocean Family Room is two Ocean Deluxe rooms that connect, facing the Burj Al Arab, and the Family Garden Suite has a terrace that opens straight onto the leisure pool and gardens.

Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach
Jumeirah
The family pool at the Four Seasons has a shallow wading area with umbrellas over the toddler splash zone, and there's a quieter pool for adults. The kids' club, for ages 4 to 12, has a ball pit and a patio of fountains to splash in, and kids get a toy falcon or flamingo when they arrive.
Breakfast is at Suq, a big buffet with an ice cream bar that stays open all day for build-your-own sundaes and cones. Two side-by-side rooms can share a small vestibule, so the kids get one and you get the other.

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira
Jumeira 1
Little Nomads, the Mandarin's kids' club for ages 3 to 10, runs taekwondo and kickboxing with specialized instructors, a junior lifeguard program and pizza making classes. Kids get a welcome gift and customized bedding.
It's the closest beachfront hotel to the business district, about 15 minutes by car to the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall. The two-bedroom suite comes with a rooftop, and Tasca, the Portuguese restaurant on the sixth floor, has a Michelin star.

Dubai Marina, JBR and Jebel Ali
Dubai Marina is skyscrapers (the twisted one is Cayan Tower) with restaurants all along Marina Walk. Next door, JBR Beach has a splash pad, shallow water and playgrounds along the promenade, and Ain Dubai, a giant observation wheel, stands just offshore on Bluewaters. The tram loops around the Marina and JBR and meets the monorail out to the Palm, so a lot is close together. Jebel Ali is farther down the coast, about 40 minutes by car from Downtown.
Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Waterpark
Dubai Marina
Jungle Bay, the water park on Le Méridien's grounds, has enclosed Whizzard tubes with a 360-degree loop, a Lighthouse mat racer, a 6-meter wave pool, gentler slides for small kids and an Aquaplay structure. Parents can book a cabana in their own area.
The beach is 500 meters long, one of the longest private stretches in Dubai, and it looks out at the Marina and the Palm. The Westin next door shares its facilities with Le Méridien, and the water sports center has paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and pedal boats.

JA Beach Hotel
Jebel Ali
Three hotels make up JA The Resort, on 800 meters of private beach in Jebel Ali, and JA Beach Hotel is one of them. The grounds have a nine-hole golf course, mini golf, pony rides and an Animal Discovery Zone (you can even swim with horses).
Just Splash, next to the Pirates & Mermaids kids' club, has racer slides and a big soaker bucket. The Family Rooms are two connecting rooms, and Ibn Majed's themed buffet nights are popular with families.

Downtown
Downtown is the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, which has an aquarium tunnel, a Lego store with a giant Lego Burj Khalifa, KidZania and the fountain show outside, all of it air-conditioned. From a hotel here you can walk to the mall. For a flight that lands at dawn, the hotels by the airport and at Financial Centre, and how to have a bed waiting, are at https://ourplayday.com/guides/united-arab-emirates/dubai/early-arrival-hotels-with-kids.
Rove Downtown
Downtown
Under a 10-minute walk from the Dubai Mall, Rove Downtown has Burj View rooms that look straight at the Burj Khalifa. About 30 percent of the rooms connect, so a family of four or more can take two side by side.
There's foosball, table tennis and video games around the lobby, and a Gamer Cave of high-end PCs. TGI Friday's is on site.

Dubai Islands
Dubai Islands are man-made islands off the coast of Deira, and they were called Deira Islands until 2022. The beach resort here has its own water park and four kids' clubs, and Souk Al Marfa and the Waterfront Market are a short walk away.
Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai
Dubai Islands
Centara Mirage is built around its water. Three waterslides drop into their own pool, a lazy river wraps around the pool area, and there are cliff-jumping points and a beach pool with inflatables. Toddlers get a shaded splash pad with a mini slide, fountains and water guns. Camp Safari is on Level 1 of the Sands Beach Club building, and the Candy Spa does Rapunzel hair braiding and a Strawberry Shortcake massage for kids.
The Mirage family rooms come with the Mirage Family Lounge, which does breakfast and afternoon tea and has an underwater-themed indoor playground with a climbing wall and slides. The Mirage junior suite has a wraparound balcony that looks down on the pools and slides.
