Moss Beach Park Playground

Whimsical shipwreck-themed playground with sea creatures, a plank walk and a crow's nest with climbable rigging, plus a separate tots area. Redesigned in 2020 for better accessibility and sightlines for supervising parents.

Tide pools of anemones, crabs and sea stars, free to visit with free parking, half an hour down the coast. The ramp down to the pools is closed, so walk the Coastal Trail from the lot to Cypress Avenue and take the Seal Cove stairs to the beach. Check a tide table first, since it only works at a low tide, and put everyone in shoes with grip, because the rocks are slippery and uneven.

Historic cliffside restaurant (home of the Blue Lady ghost story) with an official Kidz Menu - a special-occasion spot that still seats families.
