South Sunset Children’s Play Area

A nature-themed playground that works for toddlers through school age; there's a restroom on site.

A hundred acres at the ocean end of the city, with a kids' zoo, a carousel and a little steam train.

Usually a strong all ages option with separate play zones and a water feature, but the playground is closed for work through late November 2026.

Surrounded by ball fields, a soccer field and tennis courts, so a sibling's game and a toddler's climb can happen at once.

A full rec complex with a playground, basketball, tennis, ball fields, picnic tables and bathrooms close by.

Two miles of car-free oceanfront with a bike pump track and skills course, sculptures and murals, and a nature exploration area for children.
