Playgrounds and things to do with kids in Sausalito (4)
Robin Sweeny Park Playground
Sausalito's shady neighborhood playground with bathrooms, picnic tables, lawns and basketball courts - one block off the Caledonia Street cafe strip, so parents can actually get a good coffee.
Bay Area Discovery Museum
Built for nought to eight and sited under the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge, which no other children's museum can say. Closed Monday and Tuesday; $25 covers everyone over one.
Bay Model Visitor Center
A working hydraulic model of the whole bay, big enough to walk around, and free. Open Tuesday to Saturday and closed Sundays and federal holidays, which catches people out.
Marine Mammal Center
Kid-friendly tours and talks teach little ones about rescued seals and sea lions.
