Free things to do with kids in Concord

One of the few playgrounds in the country built so kids who can't walk, see or hear play on the same equipment as everyone else, with a duck pond on the way out.

Concord's playground-plus-spray-park combo: a traditional climbing structure with a free city spray park running Memorial Day through late September, with separate zones for toddlers and bigger kids. Kids rotate between structure and spray jets all afternoon.

Concord's biggest park playground, a wide-structure setup for mixed ages with the city's aquatic park right next door. Tennis courts, lawns, and picnic shelters too.

A pint-sized amusement park for the under-8 crowd: Dragon Coaster, teacups, carousel, frog hopper, and a train that loops the neighboring park and pond. Small and contained enough that one parent can solo two kids without losing anyone.
