Montreal hotels with room for a family
Written October 2026
Which Montreal hotel gives a family a kitchen, a second bedroom or a pool.
For a family that wants a kitchen, Residence Inn Montreal Downtown and Embassy Suites by Hilton Montreal both have one, and both include breakfast. For two bedrooms, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth and Hotel Zero 1 have suites with them. For a pool you can use in the cold months, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Centre-Ville and Le Westin Montreal have indoor ones.
In Montreal's downtown hotels, the useful difference is the room, not the stars. A suite or a kitchenette changes a trip with kids more than a nicer lobby does.
Here they are, grouped by what each one is best at.
How we picked
The list is the Montreal hotels in Play Day with real family facts, checked against each hotel's own pages.
Suites and kitchens
For a stay long enough that eating out three times a day gets old.
Residence Inn Montreal Downtown
Rue Peel
Apartment-style suites with a full kitchen (fridge, stovetop and microwave), free breakfast and a pool. The hotel's own page says the suites have 50% more space than the average Montreal room, and it lists one-bedroom suites for families who want a door to close.
There's also a grocery shopping service, which is a small thing that matters a lot with a toddler.
